Pink Shirt Day & Parent Info Night
Thank You to Stephanie, Tina and Kitlin for organizing the Lochside Pink T-shirt sale. T-shirts will be distributed on Tuesday. Remember to wear your pink shirts on Wednesday!
Also, a big thank you to Reet for organizing our Parent Information Night and many thanks to Dr. Mueller for his informative presentation.
Camp Thunderbird Parent Information Night
The rescheduled Parent Information evening is being held this Wednesday, Feb 22nd at 6pm in the school library. Teachers will be on-hand to provide additional camp details and there will be an opportunity for a Q&A.
Movie Night
Movie night is this Thursday - we will be screening the movie Trolls, beginning at 6pm in the school gym. Doors open at 5:45pm and pizza, popcorn and cookies will be sold. In order to ensure we have ordered enough pizza, we are asking families to RSVP and pre-order any pizza you plan to purchase. Please see our sign up form for details and to RSVP. Pizza orders must be placed by Monday.
Clothing Sale
Starting Monday Feb. 20th, we will be collecting donations for the Second Annual Lochside Used Clothing Sale. We are accepting your children's gently used clothing that they have grown out of, including shirts, pants, footwear, outerwear and dresses. The collection bin will be located near the front office of the school.
The sale will be held Thursday March 9th 8-9am and 1:00-3:00pm and Friday March 9th 8-9am and 2-3pm in the Lochside gym. Shirts and pants will be sold for $1.00, shoes for $2.00 and dresses and outerwear $5.00. The purpose of the sale is to give Lochside families some great deals on clothing for their children and to show our students the benefit of recycling. If you have any questions please email Lynn.
McMinn Park Public Event
The District of Saanich, Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting an open house event on Tuesday, February 21 at Lochside Elementary School between 4 – 8pm regarding McMinn Park. Draft concept plans will be available and feedback will be used to finalize a plan for the park.
Staff Appreciation
Staff Appreciation week has been changed to the week of May 1st. Anyone able to help with this week of appreciation is asked to contact Stephanie.
